What is Interaction Design?
For decades, motion designers have used After Effects to create linear animations—those that play from start to finish while the viewer stays passive. But things are changing fast, and a new frontier is emerging: Interaction Design.
Interaction Design takes motion design to the next level. Instead of animations simply playing through, they are triggered by user interaction, making the user an active part of the experience. We’ll build up a real-world project, piece by piece, until we have actually implemented a full set of interactions in a real app!
